Born and raised in the picturesque Lake Cumberland area of Southern Kentucky, Ashley Smith is the proud owner of Studio 27 Salon. With a career spanning since early 2014, Ashley's passion for the beauty industry led her to establish and run her own salon, Studio 27, which opened its doors in Somerset, KY in 2021.

Alongside her roles as Salon Owner and Master Stylist, Ashley is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of professionals. As a mentor and educator, she runs an apprentice program at Studio 27, providing guidance and inspiration to new, young professionals entering the dynamic world of the beauty industry.

Expanding her entrepreneurial spirit, Ashley is also the owner of The Suites by Studio 27, where six suites operate to provide a range of services including nails, lashes, facials, massage therapy, and barbering. This venture further showcases Ashley's commitment to creating a comprehensive and diverse beauty experience for her clients.

Beyond her professional achievements, Ashley, alongside her husband, serves as a worship leader at her home church, New Life COG in Ferguson, Kentucky. Riley Griffin Taylor

My name is Riley Griffin-Taylor! I knew at the age of 10 that I had a passion for cosmetology. I was able to fulfill that dream by graduating from Campbellsville University in 2018. Through the years of working with my clients, I have developed a love for color, I specialize in the areas of balayage and highlighting. I have also developed the skills for shaping of brows through waxing and clipper cutting. 

I attend Oak Hill Baptist Church with my husband, Jadon. We will be expecting our first little one come the beginning of November, 2022! I enjoy singing on the praise team and love being a camp counselor for the youth.

Hey there!

My name is Bella Nalle. I am a fur momma to a Yorkie named Bruiser and a Goldendoodle named CoJo. So, if you have fur babies of your own, I want to hear all about them!

I have dreamed of being a hairstylist since I was a little girl. What gave me the drive to dive into this industry started by watching my mom change the perception of the women that sat in her chair, lifting their confidence, and changing how they viewed themselves.

My ultimate goal each day is to provide a service to people from my hometown, that leaves them feeling better than when they sat down in my chair. 

I graduated from Paul Mitchell The School, Lexington KY in February 2022. I have been given the opportunity to grow my career at Studio 27 Salon, a place where we support each other. Hi!

 My name is Terry Phillips and I am a Master Cosmetologist. I am beyond happy to be apart of the Studio 27 Salon team.

I have three very special sons who are grown and now out living their best lives, I am so proud of them. I am from Los Angeles, even though I am from Cali, I love the Bluegrass! I have had the pleasure of meeting many wonderful and welcoming people here.

My education began but is not limited to the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Beverly Hills Ca. I have been very fortunate in my extended career. I am an educator and platform artist and have been blessed to be able to travel extensively showcasing and teaching for Goldwell, Redken and Sebastian . 

Prior to moving to Kentucky, where I have worked in Louisville and Somerset I was based in Malibu, Beverly Hills and Calabasas Ca. During that time I was successful in serving a very high profile clientele. I had the experience of servicing celebrities as well as doing hair for television and film .

I love what I do and I like having fun doing it . I respect every client that sits in my chair and am humbled daily to know they have chosen me as a stylist and have trust in my skills.

My specialties include, but are not limited to, color, color correction, blonding techniques,  haircuts, styling and keratin treatments. I am a certified educator for Keratin Complex.

My name is MaKenzie Compton! Growing up I loved watching my aunt do my mom’s hair. Growing up, seeing all the options I had for a career in this industry I knew that this was something I wanted. To follow my dreams and become a hair stylist!

 So I pursued my dream, and graduated from Paul Mitchell The School Lexington in June of 2023! I feel very blessed to be given the opportunity to work at Studio 27 Salon. This is a team building environment, each stylist is amazing, kind, and caring. I knew this was the place for me to build and be apart of! 

My goal as a stylist is not only to grow and better myself in my career but to make people feel good about themselves. I want my clients to walk out of the salon feeling more confident and beautiful! My name is Sierra Daniels and I am a licensed cosmetologist and licensed lash artist here at Studio 27! I offer all hair services and all things lashes and brows! 

Growing up, I found passion for all things Cosmetology. The drive to do hair and makeup only grew. As I got older, I fell into the world of pageants and that’s where my passion for this industry really began to grow. Always doing my own hair and makeup helped me discover my purpose, I knew this is what I was made to do for other people. I was born to be a stylist! Specifically, your go-to stylist for hair that speaks volumes and lashes that flutter with confidence! Whether you're craving sun-kissed blonde, rich, dimensional brunettes, or just a simple trim, I'm here to elevate your natural charm. My love for this industry truly grows everyday that I'm in the salon. I wake up eager to learn and grow my skill set! I’m always up for trying all the new, fun hair trends! In addition to my role as a stylist, I have been an esteemed Cosmetology Instructor at Somerset Community College for the past 15 years. This incredible opportunity has allowed me to share my knowledge, skills, and love for the craft with aspiring hair stylists. Guiding and nurturing talent has been a fulling experience, as witness the growth and success of my students as they embark on their own journeys in the world of cosmetology.
